Our history
A history built on industrial entrepreneurship, acquisitions and long-term development
Dacke Industri was established in 2016, but our roots date back to 1957.
Through entrepreneurship, technological development, acquisitions and industrial expertise, the business has evolved from a group of Nordic hydraulic companies into an international industrial group with technology-driven companies operating in selected industrial niches.
Timeline
-
1957
The foundations are laid
CA-verken was founded in Sävsjö, Sweden, focusing on hydraulic cylinders. Over the following decades, valuable expertise in hydraulics and industrial solutions was built. The business later became part of the engineering group Persöner, which subsequently became part of AB Wilhelm Sonesson.
-
The 1980s
The emergence of Dacke Invest
The business was listed on the stock exchange under the name Dacke Invest. Through the acquisition of several smaller hydraulic companies, a stronger Nordic platform was established, built on deep technical expertise and close customer relationships.
-
1991 – 1993
Part of larger industrial groups
Industrivärden acquired Dacke Invest in 1991. Two years later, the business became part of Hexagon, where it continued to develop for several years.
-
2000
A Leading Nordic Hydraulics Group
The acquisition of Berendsen PMC Nordic strengthened operations across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. The Group became one of the leading hydraulics companies in the Nordic region and further expanded its technical capabilities.
-
2005
Dacke PMC and PMC Group
The private equity fund Segulah III acquired the business from Hexagon. The company was first renamed Dacke PMC and later PMC Group AB. During the following years, the business continued to develop through acquisitions, integration and specialisation.
-
2009 - 2013
Bringing expertise together
Several well-established Nordic hydraulics and technology businesses were brought together under PMC Hydraulics, including Gustaf Terling, INAB, parts of HL Hydraulikleverantören and Hydraul Syd. In 2013, PMC Hytech was also integrated into the business. The result was a strong platform with broad technical expertise and an international reach.
-
2016
Dacke Industri is established
Nordstjernan acquired PMC Group and established Dacke Industri. With Nordstjernan as an active and long-term owner, the next chapter in the company’s history began.
-
2016 - Present
From a hydraulics Group to an international industrial Group
Through organic development and strategic acquisitions, Dacke Industri has grown from its hydraulics roots into an international industrial group with four divisions and technology-driven companies operating in selected industrial niches. Entrepreneurship, decentralisation and long-term ownership continue to form the foundation of how we develop our businesses.
