Creating confidence for the next stage of development
G-TEK AB

“The three main features for me were; a good track record for long-term ownership, relevant industrial experience/understanding for our business and business model and finally an environment that could continue to care of and nurture G-TEK’s company culture.”
Johan Amnéus
Founder and former owner
“We have a very strong owner that makes us a stronger company in the market. That itself gives a stronger foundation to grow from.”
Tomas Larsson
CEO of G-TEK and co-owner
G-TEK develops solutions for OEM manufacturers within industries such as mining, material handling, forestry, defence and railway. When the company became part of Dacke Industri in 2024, the ambition was to secure a strong platform for long-term development while creating continuity for customers, employees and suppliers.
Considering the company’s future
For several years, G-TEK had attracted interest from potential buyers. When the owners began considering the company’s future, Johan and Tomas held detailed discussions about what would be best for G-TEK and those connected to the business.
Johan approached the process from the perspective of a founder and majority owner. For him, the main priorities were finding an owner with a proven long-term perspective, relevant industrial experience and an understanding of G-TEK’s business model. It was equally important that the new owner could preserve and nurture the company’s culture.
For Tomas, who was CEO and a minority shareholder, bringing in a new owner represented an opportunity to continue developing the company.
Choosing Dacke Industri
G-TEK attracted interest from several potential owners, giving Johan and Tomas the opportunity to consider a range of qualified alternatives.
During the process, the meetings with the Dacke Industri team played an important role in Johan’s final decision. Another critical consideration was that Tomas should feel able to continue developing in his role as CEO with Dacke Industri as owner.
Tomas saw a close alignment between G-TEK’s own approach and Dacke Industri’s view of long-term industrial ownership and the management of a medium-sized company.
Business as usual, with additional support
Since the acquisition, daily operations have largely continued as before, particularly for G-TEK’s employees. The company has retained its identity, culture and way of working.
At the same time, management has gained support in developing G-TEK’s strategy and access to networking opportunities with other companies in the Group, including businesses operating in similar industrial environments.
New opportunities for international development
For Johan, one of the most attractive aspects of Dacke Industri as an industrial owner was the opportunity for G TEK to expand into more complex markets, where cultural, geographical and financial considerations create additional challenges.
For Tomas, the opportunities have primarily been about combining continued independence with access to industrial expertise, knowledge-sharing and a broader network across the Group.
Since becoming part of Dacke Industri, G TEK has strengthened its international presence through G TEK BV in Belgium and G TEK India Pvt Ltd. These establishments strengthen the company’s position in existing markets while creating opportunities to support customers closer to where they operate.
Combined with Dacke Industri’s industrial expertise, network and long-term ownership approach, this has created a stronger platform for continued development.
"The most obvious opportunity to G Tek that came with Dacke as an industrial owner was the geographic expansion to more complex markets with regards to culture, distance and financial risks. Based on what I hear and read, it seems as we have made the correct decision and I feel very fortunate for that."
